So I seen this wedding dress in google images but having searched website upon website I havent been able to find anything similar. I am guessing this is a cheap chinese dress or something. Anyone seen something like this? dress.jpg

I've seen something similar in an ad in a magazine for Moreland. I'll see if I can find a picture.

I can't find a picture of the back of it but they have the same one without the lace at the top and the back is like this so they might be similar.

Thanks a million bobblehead panda. I seen that dress in one of the recent wedding magazines too.. love it, but think the train on it might be a bit too short as I am on the tall side!

That's a pity. You could ask them if they could order it in a longer length or order extra material to add to the length. The shop I ordered my dress in is ordering extra material so that I can add cap sleeves and a back so it could be an option for you.

Definately worth a shot. Where is Moreland? I am going to have to go and start trying some dresses on. Also thinking about trying the barnardos wedding shop too. I dont really mind paying whatever it costs for the perfect dress but I wouldnt mind trying to save where possible either! ;)

Why don't you take a pic of the dress you DO like to a dressmaker then?

Does it not work out a lot more expensive? I dont have a huge amount of time on my hands with work and so just hoped to find something with the least amount of alterations also.

Dressmaking's 9/10 a cheaper version (I am one) you get it just right and pay for the fabric etc yourself so it'd depend on their rates...usually a good bit cheaper than buying one brand new. Got all the stuff for my wedding dress for under €50 :D

now I just need to get married...

Wow, that sounds like a great idea! I guess I should probably still go and try on a similar dress and then make sure its the style that suits best and then bring the photos to someone. Where are you based?

I got the fabric in a shop in Liverpool when I was visiting my dad (http://www.abakhan.co.uk/acatalog/Liverpool.html) Seriously massive store, was stunned when I first wandered in...it was the size of a toyshop on different floors easily! If you are thinking about the dressmaker route, google wedding dress patterns and see what you can find that you like to take to the dressmaker as well, as that'll cut more corners in terms of price as you wouldn't be paying full whack for pattern drafting from scratch.

When is your big day? I'm based in Wexford and have a couple of projects on at the moment but if I can help out, I'll certainly try to =)
