So this might be a stupid question...

I have naturally wavy to curly hair, Its a bit strange though as the front is actually pretty straight. I don't normally dry it, I usually put moose(I know this is the spelling for the animal but just realised I don't know the spelling for the product or is it just the same?:o) and let it dry naturally. I like the affect of unstyled soft curls.

Anyway, I am going to get my hair cut this weekend and I normally get it blow dried straight after a cut but this time I want it curly for an outifit I will be wearing after. So, my question is if you ask the hairdresser to leave it curly do they only do it in using curling tongs. The reason I ask is I only once asked it to be curly about 10 years ago and they just let it wet after the cut and said to let it dry naturally. I know I do this at home but I remember leaving the hairdresser feeling wierd as my hair was wet.

God I don't know if this makes any sense but if anyone has wavy curly hair will you tell me what you do in the hairdresser...do they actually blow dry it curly?

I have naturally curly hair too. If you ask for a curly blow dry they dry it using large barrel brushes. Its lovely if you are going out- really bouncy. Curling tongs is a different type of curl. A good hairdresser should be able to do it.

My hairdresser always scrunch blow dries mine curly. Just tell them what you want and they'll do it.

Dovies got in there before me! If you ask them for a curly blow dry it comes out in big soft curls, sort of like ghd curls only a bit looser...and because you have curly hair itll hold really well!

I have really curly hair too and always insist on a blowdry, either straight or curly...i remember feeling really hard done by the last time the stylist just put moose in it and left it, could have done that at home myself!! :D
