Qs about obtaining a work permit for Russia

    Has anyone here ever worked in Russia.

    What is the procedure for obtaining a work permit.

    Ive been on the russian embassy website Russian embassy Ireland - visa info but its not very clear what you need to do.

    It says "For purposes to carry out study courses, employment, temporarily residing and asylum seekers in the territory of the Russian Federation, it is required for an applicant to present the original HIV test certificate (a work permit for employment seekers is sufficient). Validity of the certificate is 3 months from the date of issue"

    If a work permit is sufficent how do people obtain the work permit. I thought thats what the work visa is supposed to be.
