hiya - have this problem myself and its a pain. you can buy limescale remover in any supermarket. you'll need a key to remove the front part of the shower head. Put it in a jug with hot water and the limescale remover for half an hour or so - hey presto - i have to do this on a weekly basis.

if you dont have a key, you can just dunk the whole shower head in the jug but its not as effective.

What type of mira is it and what exactly is the problems you are getting.

There is a filter in the mira elite 2. You open it and to the left there is a plastic cap about the size of 2 euro you twist this to open and clean the filter.

Obv make sure the power is off.

You can also steep the shower head in clear vinager and water overnight. 50%

they are both Mira sport showers.

when you turn on both showers the low pressure light keeps comming on and off, you can also hear an clicking sound (clicking/popping) from each shower. there is plenty of limescale build up on the showere head.

i changed each head (as they were almost blocked) it helped but i think there is limescale build up in the showere filter (where ever that is).

would i need to turn off the water to the showere if i am oening it up?

Mira sport is a mains fed shower. Its most likely with the 2 giving trouble you have low pressure at the mains. This is why the lights are coming on at the shower. You need good mains pressure to open the shower.

This will need to be sorted. If it cannot you will have to by pass the mains with a single impeller booster pump for each shower.

Sounds like the mains water pressure must be fairly low, under 15 psi probably.

Just in case you get a water softener to remove hardness from the water to prevent limescale it will not work on 15 psi, they require nearer 20 psi or over ideally.

For whole house pressure boosting a larger grundfoss pump fed off a 1000 litre tank in the garage is another option. Cheaper option is a pedrollo or speroni centrifugal pump after a break tank but the pressure range is variable.
