Bad stone masonry?

    Hi there,

I've recently commissioned some builders to build entrance walls that are stone facing. I showed them the effect I was after and they said no problem. They started off fine at the piers but having looked at the wall between the two piers on one side it looks all crooked whilst the other side looks fine. Is it possible to chisel the stone out and start again or would it have to be kango'ed etc?

    Thanks for any replies

You don't care how they remove it. You wanted a particular pattern, they agreed to it, but didn't deliver.

Telling them how to remove it is a prime excuse for them to charge extra.

If you are going to create a dispute, get someone professional to say "this isn't good enough". And take plenty of pictures.
