i replaced the ballcock in the water tank in the attic but when the tank is full and the arm is up as far as it will go water still comes out. is the ballcock faulty ? big puddle on the ground where the overflow comes out.

If you manually pull up the arm of the ballvalve and it still fills at pace, its litely to be faulty, if it is just dripping in maybe washer missing
