Driving test waiting period

I have been told there is a mandatory waiting period of 6 months between getting the first provisional license and sitting the driving test.

Is there any way to reduce this waiting period?

What if it is required for work?

    Moved to Learning to Drive.

There's no way of shortening the 6 month wait.

There is no way around it. Only suggestion is book the test now, and request or change the date till the one after the 6 months is up.

I think the mod is right although after the 6 months are up, if u get a letter from your employer saying it is required for your job then you will most likely get a test date inside a week maybe two weeks.

I think the OP is aware of this, but just to restate it.

You can APPLY for the test whenever you want, you can only sit it after the 6 months are up.
