iPod Touch resets

    Hi I'm having a problem with my first gen Touch where when I have it connected to my laptop it resets after maybe 2/3 mintues. I,ve tried plugging it into my Xbox to see if was just my laptop but it still resets.

    I,ve also tried restoring it and I'm currently trying to restore the iPod software (3.1.3) to see if that works.

    I'm wondering if anyone can suggest any solutions?
