    On a train locked onto good wifi but keep getting these feckin popups.

    I really hope so! I've been getting them a few times a day recently and it's very annoying. I've not found a way to get rid of them so far.

    I think this happens when your manually selected network disappears (even for a moment), if you use automatic selection it should stop showing the message. Open to correction.

    I think I only have an automatic setting on my phone, and keep getting the message (with Vodafone).

    Thanks lads. I'm roaming in the UK though so have to stay manual on Three over here, otherwise will get shafted with charges.

    Your phone should stick with 3...at least that's what I found when I've been over..

    As others have said, automatic will work but as you need to stay on Three UK while roaming there's nothing you can do about it. The whole notifications thing is being revamped in iOS5. It's long overdue.
