    Anyone able to tell me difference between the American way and European way of wiring Cat 5 cable?

    The only difference is that the Americans have a different colour code.. if I remember correctly.

    B is generally used (and I insist on it for my projects)

    Also, cat5 is not used - cat5e is the correct reference now or cat6 or cat6a
