I know this isn't to do with the language, but I am going to potentially moving over to Valencia soon and thought that this might be a good place to ask.

Is there is popular message board similar to boards over in spain, or even better, particular to Valencia?

    Thanks,

    Timmy

I don't know of any country wide, comprehensive forum set that cover all the possible subjects, interests , hobbies, etc. for Spain (boards.ie was a great discovery when I came to Ireland). There are a couple more sites you may like to have a look at, although they are mostly focused on specific matters:
http://www.foromtb.com : road and mountain biking, there are other smaller forums around, but this is a great place to start with, as you will easily find pointers to other sport related forums
http://www.burbuja.info : started as a place to discuss the housing bubble back when noone but a few crazy people believed that there was a problem with housing prices, but now it covers mostly economic and political discussions, news, forecasts...may be a good place to have alternative/deeper economic information than that coming from the mass media
http://www.soloarquitectura.com : if you are into architecture, this is the place to look at

Unfortunately, in Spain there isn't either the equivalent to Ireland's www.cititzensinformation.ie, which is a much needed source of public information. The closest to that may be http://www.060.es/ , but we in Spain have failed to make the public administration publish clear and (foreign people oriented) information a-la-citizensinformation.

Hope you have a nice stay in Spain, despite the ongoing and (yet to worsen) economic and social/political situation.
