    Hi All,

I bough €5,000 euro woth of BOI shares and AIB shares early least year at a low share price. This got me 10,000 BOI shares and about 4,000 AIB shares. I was hoping to leave them there until the Share price increases and i would make some Money.... I can afford to leave them there for now.....Whats the chance of me making some Dosh in the years ahead i wonder??

Can you afford to leave the money there for 20 years? You should start considering selling, I am not saying to sell but it wouldn't be a bad idea to think about it. You are nursing big losses already.

You might get your money back in 30-40 years.

That's gambling, not investing, in my opinion. There's no visibility there at all. Your shares could be totally worthless within a year.

One would have expected that you'd have done those calculations before you purchased - even a simple earnings model would give you some indications.

Seriously, I don't see any difference between what you done and betting on the horses or the hounds - just a gamble, if you can afford to loose it fine, but if not...

    Jim.

You bought them a year too early.
