Would you hire a 'Foam Cannon'?

    Dont know if im putting this in the right place, but thinking of buying one of these to add to the existing business. Their priced at around E2500-E3000 roughly.
    It would seem to be something that could be a good little earner, but then again i have been wrong on a few previous occasions.
    Im just doing some mini market research at the moment, as nothing would be worse to be lumped with it after the cash has exchanged hands.
    So any nightclub owners, in the entertainment industry, etc anyone really i suppose. Would you hire one of these out for your event?
    As always, Thanks in advance.:)foam_cannon.png

    I don't think here is your best market research audience. However you should know that these are never rented in ones, usually clubs will hire 2 or four of them at a time. There are other ones available in Ireland so the price is somewhat set that you can rent them at.

    Big issues are not all clubs can use them because of their layout or the damage they will do to the speakers etc if they are floor based. Insurance can be a nightmare from my experience renting them.

    The main cost is for the foam liquid not the cannons and then you have to work out what the frequency a club can use them (once / twice a year).

    hey thanks for the reply. Yeah i was wondering about the insurance too alright, wouldnt be cheap id say. If not nightclubs then what would be the alternative market, if any?

    @the costume shop
    I have not seen any nightclub hiring more than 1 foam cannon, unless you were out in big clubs.

    @wiger toods
    Whats the hire price for one of these units for a night?
    Nightclubs at the moment are struggling and trying to cut expense and I cant see them forking out for one of these events, plus the fact they would have to clean up the sticky mess afterwards.
    I think they are a thing of the past and probably only a hit for a teenage disco :o
