Lookin at the SIG 552 but not sure as to which to buy. There is 3 manufacturers I'm lookin at, Tokyo Marui, ICS and G&G, although G&G are the most expensive which would put me off them. Any advise as to which would be better value for money would be greatly appreciated

The g&g is pretty much the best one there is. Expensive ? yes, but you get what you pay for, and I'd go for that one myself. Better build quality, and better internals.

To be fair, the ICS one is rock solid - looks great, feels great and shoots fantastic. There are a few problems, like with all guns, but it's definitely a contender.

The G&G is, no doubt, the most accurate replica, but I've not had it hands-on, so I can't discuss its performance.

The JG/TM are outdated at this stage - creaky plastic bodies, where the next two up have better performance. That said the TM still has a lovely hopup, as with all TM, but that alone does not justify the cost

i have both 551 and 552 by ics and they are both really nice, my only problem is lack of affordable midcaps that fit the ics sigs.

ICS have released mid caps with fake rounds, they're on fire-support. They are only 50 rounds though but better than the baby rattlers.

Have an ICS 551 myself and its a great performer and nice externals. I want to get my hands on a G&G to compare them for myself. Mags for the G&G SGs are harder to come by than the ICS SGs.

You can mod MAG mids to fit in the ICS. Not sure about the G&G. I want the G&G one because of how awesome it's supposed to be, but I have an JG 552, ICS 552 and 551. I don't really want another 552, and I'm not really a fan of the 550.

I was looking at the ICS mids the other day...they're pricey enough. Something like £85 for 6 - works out at around €18 per mag, when you factor in crappy conversion rate, and shipping etc. Not bad considering price of PMAGS etc, but still.

...what am I saying, I'm still gonna pick up a few - they look damned awesome

Thanks for all your help, I've made up my mind after a bit of research on the G&G but quite hard to track down at mo, Red Wolf, ehobby are sold out and no idea when they'll have them, alot of other sites don't seem to stock the G&G version:/
