    hi all,
our garage has been completed and its time i got the gutters fascia and soffit done.
before i go ringing around getting quotes? what information will i need?
will the length of the walls be sufficient for the gutter companies to provide a quote? if not what else do i need to know in advance?

also, is there anything i should be weary of when getting quotes? any questions i should ask?

sorry for the queries...i have no clue on this particular subject at all i am afraid.

If you are getting supply and fit, they will probably come out anyway and do a survey themselves. This would usually be done so as there is no "hidden" areas that they may not quote for and you may still expect done.

Also, they will need to see where the downpipes (and how many) are going.

If you are doing it yourself, just measure the wall and get the angle of the roof to give you the required lenghts.

You will need to know if it is to be uPVC/timber etc etc..

ah ok thanks. by the way, the garage is not plastered externally yet. that needs to get done first before i can get fascia and soffit. is that correct, plastering first?

On my garage it was soffit and fascia first, then plastering.

Means you get a good seal where the plaster overlaps the j-rail on the soffit.
