Had one for my sig for a while when i lost my real deal serpa, till i replaced it again.... Comparatively similar, not as good quality, but still very very good. Doesn't drop mags, tough enough for the average skirmish by far. Can't go too wrong with it.

It'll do the job nicely - same design as the real serpas and the only area I've seen cause problems on these are where the screws go into the holster (the metal thread insert) - sometimes these come without the metal insert, or the metal insert is just not that well seated. Either way the holster works perfectly but it will wear out eventually (i.e. the screws from the panel into the holster will come away from the holster and it will become more loose. It's not like this will happen suddenly or drastically).

But for the price, and the use that these will get in an airsoft environment, best cost effective solution.

Well for almost 1/6th of the price of a real deal serpa and me been a rookie in airsoft i think its a good deal :D

Will this issue cause any scratches/wear on the gun itself? As you said the use in airsoft environment its not that strenuous (unless i get a cowboy outfit:D)

Nope - the screw go into a solid part of the holster frame - they won't go near the gun in the holster. The only parts which will come into contact with the gun are the sides of the holster (which is plastic) and the release button (the underside of which is the tab that keeps the gun in place).
Won't scratch - depending on the quality of the pistol finish you might get some light wear marks over time where the holster comes into contact with the pistol frame and slide - but this is normal and to be expected (same would happen over time with most real steel pistols too).
