Hi All, I have 2 queries I would appreciate help with:

    1. If I cancel my current prepaid insurance (about 3 months into a 12 month policy) for another insurance provider will I be refunded my premium from the initial company?

    2. I have a family member staying with me for a few months and need to insure her on my car - she is 22 and only has a provisional license. My policy won't take her (hence the switch!) - can anyone recommend a good policy for a young driver??

    Thanks in advance!

1/. You won't get a pro rata refund.

2/. Shop around. There's really no shortcut for it.

    1. If you havent made any claims since the insurance was taken out then you should receive a refund for the nine months you had left unless there is a certain condition in the policy booklet - so check that.

    2. Very strange that an insurance company wont take on a driver with a provisional licence at all. Call a broker / advisor to see if they can get you a better deal.
