I have a Astra 2006 and the rocker cover is full of sludge. Could anyone tell me how to remove rocker cover. And also at the back of the cover there are two hose pipes going into one with a clip holding them together' a leak is coming from this joint. would it be ok to remove this bracket and lift the pipe off (Will water gush out) so as to put a new bracket on.

    Thanks for any help.

To remove the rocker cover, first take off the EcoTec cover, it slides to the right. The remove 2 T30 torx bolts and remove the coil pack. The just loosen all the E10 bolts and it should lift up. If the pipes are the breather pipes going into the rocker cover you can take these off without losing coolant. If your still unsure ill send you pictures. The hose may be split. Is common enough. They are around €8 to buy in a dealer.
