Not to hijack this thread but is this the same as a Open Fourball Stableford. I'm considering playing in the open comp in Bray on Wednesday with a friend. I noticed that there is another pair needed along the tee time line. I'm correct saying that myself and my mate play our own ball and only enter the best score stableford on one scorecard but this need to be marked down by another team???? correct???

Are you sure you meant the 'Not'?

You could have waited for a least one reply no?

Only joking carry on there Figo69

    Both are similar.
Fourball stableford is two people playing together as a team (along side two markers, so in a group of 4). You play off 3/4 of your handicap and the score that goes on the card is the best points score (marked under the column of the person that got the score).

Open two person team is usually (always?) the same format but played under your full handicap allowance.
