Recommend me a Blu ray player

So, on the hunt for a blu ray player. I want something with preferably optical out, but coaxial will be OK also id say as my pioneer hifi has digital coaxial in also. Id also like it to be able to play all the major video codecs off an external hard drive plugged into the USB like the ps3 used to be able to do before damn cinéavia! but is it worth the steep price?

but its got DLNA and wifi-n and 3D built in! But can it play many different video files off a usb?

Which out of them do you recommend taking into account the price, and what I need. Which has the best sound and the best at up scaling dvds?

the bd370 is a well respected player, will play most anything you throw at it, and will have better upscaling than the LG. that said if wireless is important you won't get that in the bd370, but streaming video over wireless is flaky, very flaky, so that may not be such a big factor

i'd buy the bd370, easy choice for me

if the op doesn't need multichannel analog outputs(the only thing the s570 has over the s370) and hes doesn't, as he mentioned coax and optical, then the 570 would be a huge overhead for no return

hmmm do you know if the LG BD550 can play video files off a usb stick as there seem to be some that say yes, and some that say no.
