Pre-pay credit cards are available to under 18s, so it would be illegal of PP to accept them as a form of age verification (which is the other purpose of a credit card on that site). There is no way around this.

You should have checked this out before buying the 3V voucher.

Yeah I know but I wasn't exactly thinking "I must check and see if paddy powers accept 3v cards" when i was in the shop ..

What if I transferred it to my PayPal account and then to Paddy Powers?

There's no problem transferring from PayPal to PP but I don't know how you pay from a 3v card into a PayPal account.

Get a friend with a PayPal a/c to make you a payment to your PayPal a/c as a gift (saves on commission) and repay them with your 3v card? I know the situation that you're in as I used to be forever juggling funds about.

You can't put money from a credit card into a Paypal account.

Unless the money comes from your Paypal balance, then the fee of 35c + 3.4% will apply.

It would probably be cheaper to transfer the money back out of 3V, paying their fee, than sending it back and forward through Paypal accounts.
