    57th VETERAN, VINTAGE & CLASSIC CAR RALLY
    SUNDAY 10th JULY 2011

    The 57th Leinster Veteran, Vintage & Classic Car Rally will be a 1 day event, starting adjacent to the Bandstand on Bray Promenade.
    We will drive through County Wicklow for 55 miles and there will be a short stop for refreshments and refueling on route.

    Although there is a competitive element to the event the emphasis will be on enjoyment and fun, while the more serious minded can concentrate on the navigation and maintain an average speed as per their class. The winner on the Road Section will receive the Dudley Colley Memorial Trophy.
    The less serious minded competitors can follow the route at their leisure and enjoy the ambience along the way, at Avondale House and also in Belmont Demesne where the main “Concours” Section of the Rally will be judged.

    Competitors are encouraged, if possible, to take out their pre-war cars. There will also be prizes for best period costume - so use your imagination and drag out those old furs, plus fours etc., and dress up for the occasion.

    START - Cars will assemble at 10 a.m. Sunday 10th July adjacent to the Bandstand on Bray Promenade where scrutiny will be carried out and Final Instructions issued. The first car will depart at 11.00a.m. and thereafter at 1 minute intervals.

    REFRESHMENTS - There will be a short stop for refreshments in Avondale House Rathdrum. Competitors are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the grounds of Avondale House, or alternatively refreshments can be purchased in the café.

    FINISH/PRIZE GIVING - The Barn, Walled Garden, ‘Belmont Demesne’, Templecarrig, Delgany, Co. Wicklow at 5.30 p.m.

    Leinster Motor Club 90th Anniversary

    Leinster Motor Club is celebrating its 90th Anniversary on July 10th 2011 at Belmont Demesne, Greystones, Co. Wicklow.
    Leinster Motor Club was founded in 1921 by Nathan Leplar, to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the founding of the club, Leinster Motor Club will be holding a day of celebration, motorsport and fun for the family at Belmont Demesne, Windgates, Bray Road, Greystone, Co. Wicklow.
    The event is proudly supported by the Wicklow Hospice and all proceeds on the day will go to the Wicklow Hospice. Entry to the venue is free to the public and all donations are welcome.
    Included in the days activities, are a Vintage, Veteran and Classic Car run (starting at Bray), a Vintage Tractor display, an Enduro Motorcycle Sprint and many other displays from the disciplines that Leinster Motor Club support.

    Spread the word amongst motor sport enthusiasts, this is a day not to be missed in the motorsport calendar, all in aid of a very good cause - The Wicklow Hospice.

    Hi Everyone,

    Just a reminder only two weeks to go before the day long event to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Leinster Motor Club and specifically the 57th VV&C RALLY.

    Some gorgeous cars already confirmed on the rally itself so don't miss on what will be a fantastic day in aid of a very worthy cause (Wicklow Hospice).
