I often buy stuff online, but its a pain getting the deliveries as myself and my girlfriend work 9-5.30 (the times they like to deliver). Is it possible to get stuff delivered to a post office/depot where I can pick up late/early/weekends (in Dublin)?

I am sure you can collect it at your local depot.

When I miss a parcel in the post it goes back to the depot and I ring them and ask them to hold it for me then i just pop over and collect it.

Or you could just leave a note for the postman asking him to leave it in your back garden or somewhere secure. ;)

I think the post office can hold it for you and you can specify a day/date to come and collect it, think there is a charge for this though I could be wrong.

Maybe try ringing/calling into your local post office and ask them?

I must ring and see if they would send it to the sorting office near work and I can pick it up at lunch.

Yes do that. They usually have no problems with this and would be glad to leave it at the sorting office. Only thing is do you will probably need some sort of ID to get the package.

Even a bank card would do in this case!
