2 x 500ml bottles for €2.50 may not seem good value..

.. but this stuff is near impossible to get here as cheap as this (although have seen it in a few shops in T2 for about the €1.50 mark also).

Used to be available in those smaller shops along with Cherry / Vanilla Coke for €2 a 500ml bottle.

Dunnes have had it for the last few weeks at €1.45 a bottle, but now have it on special for 2 for €2.50.

Hope it tastes as nice as the last time I had it (about 12 years in Canada.

They have been doing Mountain Dew in Spar on Cork Road, Waterford for €1 a bottle for the past couple of months now, not sure if its all Spar's. Most other shops/petrol stations i have seen it in it has been around €1.70ish.

Topaz have been doing a promo on the energy one for awhile, think its 2 for €2

My missus got me a crate of it for €15.99 in Galway.

My local Spar are doing it for €1 a botte as are Texaco.

Oh and its the same stuff as you get in the US or Canada.

considering its just 7up in a different bottle its not really a bargain

I was getting it for €1 a bottle in spar shops in and around dcu there before the holidays... not really a bargain 2 for €2.50

apparently it's not the original (never had it but told so by others) but it's still pretty nice

It's a bit off topic, but €3.49 for Chicago Town pizzas in Dunnes until 14th. I like the stuffed crust, it's one of them reasonable pizzas out there.

Was in tesco earlier and they were reduced to €2.99 (33% off i think it was) for film feast and the four cheese ones. Both have stuffed crust i think.

energy does not taste as i remember it when in america, when i had copious amounts of cans of the stuff ie "mountain dew"

we need a yank to confirm or deny if mountain dew energy is exactly the same as simply "mountain dew"

a lot of ppl on the food forum on the mountain dew thread also say it tastes different as to when they had it in america

That's only for the real Mountain Dew. For Mountain Dew Energy it's a party where nobody shows up. :)

So very true, tried it thinking that it would be as good if not better than normal Mountain Dew but was very disappointed.

A better bargain alert would be a source of the normal Mountain Dew! Yankeesoda.co.uk stocked it before but their site seems down

It makes me sick when I drink it, its like a very bad tasting 7up.

As a fiend for Mountain Dew, I think our Mountain Dew Energy is like, but not quite identical to, the original.

And as for anyone who compares it to 7up, that is heresy and you should be burned at the stake. :pac:

I wonder if we'll ever get any of the limited editions like Pitch Black?
