The Real Cost of Staff?

    Can anyone point me in the rite direction or inform me of what the cost of staff actually is.

    Lets say i pay someone 25,000 for a year how much do i actually pay to the government and taxes would love to know just for research purposes, tried to search on youtube not sure if im using the rite Key Words.

    You're more likely to find information on revenue.ie

    Your insurance premium is also based in part on your salary bill

    It's no big mystery. Using your example of 25k, you pay 10.75% employers PRSI on top of the 25k. End of. (On salaries below 25k, the rate is 8.5%).

    All tax, USC, employees PRSI is paid out of the 25k.

    As previous poster mentioned, some other expenses, such as insurance may be affected by level of staff / payroll cost.

    If on the other hand you mean how much would it cost to pay someone 25k into their hand, after all taxes etc, that's kind of a how long is a piece of string question, as it would depend on their marital status, tax credits etc...
