Animals in the wild

Have you ever been fortunate enough to witness a spectacle in the animal kingdom?

I was once in a ferry that came across a pod of killer whales that swam and jumped with the boat. It's up there with one of the coolest moments of my life

And closer to home while going to school one morning with a big thick head on me I saw a fox chasing a rabbit across our field, darting back and forward, the lil bunny was pulling dummies left right and centre. Didn't see the end result as they disappeared over the hill but it was pretty amazing to look at

And we have a bull and cows so I watch them have sex all the time. He does get around our Ivan!

Years ago i saw a mink being chased by our terrier and both being chased by our cat. The mink doubled back and the dog kept on going but the cat flew at the mink and headbutted him. A quick bite to the neck and the mink was no more.

Another time i was standing on a bridge watching a mammy duck and her ducklings swim down the river. Out of nowhere these huge jaws came out of the water and the biggest pike i've ever seen pretty much swallowed the duck whole.

I think it's disgusting when my dog tries to hump a bitch. I always have to kick him off her when he does it. It's disgusting. I make him know it's wrong and dirty. I guess I'm kind of like the Catholic Church to him in that regard.

If you know Galway you know Lough Atalia and the Railway bridge.

When the salmon are spawning you can stand on the railway bridge and the tide is out and the water is full of salmon.

Used to work as a night porter and any Galwegian knows this shortcut to Renmore.

And I would stand on the bridge around 7am and look down at the salmon jumping, the narrow entrance to the Lough was full of them. It's extremely shallow at low tide

Lived for 10 years in Galway and never did that :(
It's now on the list though

I did see too swans peck another swan to death in the claddagh one night though, they can be violent when they want to

I once had sex with my girlfriend in a park in Chicago. Not only did I witness it, but I partook in it. Then we ate an antelope.

That cat was a legend. It got killed by a MK11 Escort when the Circuit of Ireland passed by our house.

Pike are scary bastards but are mainly scavengers and will mostly go for small vulnerabble prey. They have been known to attack people though.

That man deserves a bite for stupidity.

He has a net, all he had to do was put the pike in the net and it would swim out itself

Meh, not really. I was at the driving range earlier and a Labrador kept on running across the range chasing rabbits. He wasn't very good at it though. He'd chase them for a few seconds and then just give up. It came to a point when the rabbits were just taking the piss though. They'd run away from him, stop, look back at him, and when he came within a certain distance of them they'd start to run away again. Twas funny to watch though, but I couldn't hit any balls for ages though because, with my poor golf skills I was afraid I'd hit him :P

Ha, I love these videos. A man is trying to slice a hook through a fish's jaw, and there's no bother, but when the fish fights back a little, there's outrage!

The video should be entitled: " Man attacks fish; fish loses patience and fights back a bit; man bawls like a girl".

Hehe, speaking of ducks and nature,

At first I thought it was terrible to watch, but after seeing how well they regrouped, I felt alot less guilty about laughing :P

If you actually watch the video you will see a man land a small fish with his net. Then as he goes to release it a pike comes out if the water to get the fish but gets the mans hand instead.

Oh, I missed that but I did watch it and read a lot of the youtube comments.

pikes, greatest predators and scavengers in the lakes. I take back my comments, the man could have lost a few fingers there.

Nothing as cool as whales, but often see deer around the area. They just stare at you and if you move away for a few seconds they're gone. The stag looks cool as fcuk. Massive antlers.

I saw elephants having sex (well trying to have sex) on safari in South Africa. An elephant penis is a sight to behold - see attached pic :)
