    It's gettin bad.

Last weekend I barely tolerated. I watch Ireland playing Macedonia (MACEDONIA!) in the chavball and even the dubs in the bogball.
I've watched the HEC final about five times on YouTube (well the second half anyway!)

Since then we've been strung along with sponsorship details, teased with a HEC draw.

Now there's absolutely nothing for a couple of months. The players are tweeting from their holidays . Quinny is on fcuking Miriam o Callaghan tonight fir fcuk sake.

How am I expected to go cold turkey for the next two
Months? Don't give me your super league crap. I dont know who these people are (even though half of this forum seem to be intimately acquainted with them)

Am I going to have to content myself with the dubs? Can't we arrange a sevens between munster and Leinster or something?

    Sulks.

Don't worry you can watch the JWC for the next few weeks. It won't be long after that.

Now would be a fantastic time for TG4 to bring back Rugbai Beo.

    they're on sky sports.

if you dont have them you could try and stream it off the net.

once the super 15 ends there is the itm and currie cups in nz and sa. the standard of these games is pretty good i have to say. again they're on sky but you can stream them off the net i think.

the tri nations starts at the end of july too.

other than that there isnt any rugby.

you could always get a bag of balls and a kicking tee and head to your local rugby/gaa pitch and just kick goals for awhile.

You're not getting it. I want to drunkenly roar Sean o Brien on, or slag the bollocks off my munster mates over something that isn't necessarily true or fair .

Super league and currie cup won't give me that.

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 18,266 Mod ✭✭✭✭CatFromHue

    ah right i get ya.

well for the sean o brein think you'll just have to drink more and shout at random people.

nothing to stop you from slagging the your munster mates off if you ask me :P

There's always someone worse off than you.

While you're shouting for the Dubs, I'll be cheering on Meath :(

So take your misery, double it, and then you'll start to understand my pain.

This is why I need a rugby game to come out, and thank god one is. I'm going to be able to play a Heineken Cup in between two Heineken Cups!! Think of the possibilities!

I was away this week. I have 3 Super 15 matches to watch from last weekend to watch.

There is at least one NRL match to watch too.

I have 5 Super 15 matches from this morning/afternoon to watch and more NRL i'd imagine.

    FML.

Just saying it to a mate yesterday, "I'd love to watch a good game of rugby" so I pulled some from the dvd collection. It satisfied me mildly.

We are normally spoilt with rugby, it's weird not to have it.

2009 Lions in SA DVD now up in its entirety in 15min segments, pace yourself.

But there's been loads on this week. Churchill Cup, Argentina vs French Baa Baa's, Super 15 (5 matches yesterday). Then if you wanted to stretch it the NRL is on aswell.

Yeah, but there's no rugby like your own rugby.

    Things aren't too bad imo!
I'm watching Super XV, it has some of the best teams and players in the world! And alot of those players will be in performing in the RWC too.
I'm having a look at USA and Russia performing in the Churchill Cup (who are both in Ireland's pool in the RWC).
And also shouting for the boys in green at the Junior RWC.

Fair enough, it's not Leinster vs Munster, but you can't have that every week!

Super 15 http://www.superxv.com/news/ is heading to an exciting climax and when that's out of the way the Tri-Nations http://www.trinationsweb.com/fixtures/2011.asp kicks off on July 23rd and should keeping you going to the start of the RWC. Although an All Blacks fan for years I had not dabbled with the Super 15 and Tri-Nations until relatively recently - too busy - but now I look forward to it almost as much as the Heineken Cup. :D

I've lots of games recorded from the past few years. As I've nearly exhausted watching Munster V Leinster from a few weeks ago,I began to to watch the last Ireland v England game last night. I still feel the excitement at seeing Ireland tear into them from the kick off.Mighty stuff.

A week or two after the Heineken Cup finished up, I decided to be thrifty and cancel the Sky Sports for a few months, rang UPC, job done.

Yesterday, it was p*ssing rain outside, the missus was off shopping so I made a sandwich, settled in on the couch, cracked open a beer and stuck on the Leinster v Northampton game on the DVR...

"Dear Customer, You recorded this programme from a channel to which you are no longer subscribed. Please call customer service to renew your subscription or delete this programme to free up space on your DVR"

Outraged! Like, I paid for Sky, recorded the programme, why should I not be allowed watch it again? Baxtards.

Have you guys ever heard of hurling? Definitely a very adequate summer time game to pass the easy Sunday afternoons. Some of us in Munster have been known to follow both it and rugby interchangably.
Be careful though it has a bastard cousin of a game called gaelic football that at first glance seems mildly interesting but on further analysis can cause deep frustration at the lack of anything interesting happening behind the jersey pulling and crest kissing.

I've been with them for years. They provide an excellent but expensive service. However they do have some nasty habits.
