Yeah as I said in the Greystones forum I didnt like the programme. I was talking to a former resident the Sunday after and he was shocked. I think the programme makers set out to shock and achieved their goal.

Yeah, the media have finished banging on about RCC abuse, and their tactics worked in that the majority of people hate the RCC instead of hating what the abusers did! Now it's onto the next agenda...... I think the media want to stamp out Christianity altogether which includes all denominations - they tried to hit the biggest first! :)

Dont know if anyone saw this - a very mixed response from past residents and locals alike - To some extent it seems like the producers were trying to present a story that didnt exist...

I totally agree ..... and I lived in Westbank..... loved Auntie and always will.

It was very clear that no matter what positive memories we shared with RTE during the making of this programme they preferred to sensationalise all the negative allegations.

Its great that you have positive memories but not everyone did, rte did contact as many people as possible, and as you are all such great friends and one big family - why were there not more postive happy family members on the programme, where were the choosen few. i respect your right to state you had happy memories please respect others right to speak who did not have such wonderful memories.

My home is filled with toys, has fingerprints on everything, & is never quiet. My hair can be a mess & I'm always tired, but there is always love & laughter here. In 20 years my kids won't remember the house or my hair, but they will remember the time we spent together & the love we felt. Children only get ONE childhood...make it a good one!!!
