Limerick Ring Road

If travelling from Dublin on the M7, is there an exit for Limerick city at Junction 30 (the Rosbrien interchange, probably better known as where the M7 ends and runs into the N18)?

I've been through the junction before, but never needed to turn off towards the city, so I was hoping someone could clarify??

Yes, that's that the one - thanks for confirming.
In that case, is it possible to take the M20 exit and turn back at the first junction on that road?

Taking the previous or next junction might make more sense, but its really down to where you want to end up.

I'm looking to get into the Childers Rd/Punches Cross area (hence why that J30 would be ideal, if there were an off-ramp).
It looks as though turning at the next junction on the N18 (Dock Rd) is the best bet so.

Keep going and turn off at the next exit - beings you down at the cement factory - a quick nip in the Dock Road and turn up by Mary I.

It is strange though that that junction doesn't have connection to Roxboro seeing as it was the entry point prior to the tunnel being built.

Or else you can turn off at the Junction beforehand to bring you to Ballysimon/Cityeast...towards Limerick City East til you reach the Tipperary Roundabout, take the first exit off the roundabout and follow the road straight til you see the signs for Mary Immaculate College...that will take you to Punches Cross.

Or you can go onto the M20 at Rosbrien and take the next exit, J2 Dooradoyle (nearly immediate). Cross the bridge then take the penultimate exit of that roundabout (the final exit brings you back onto the M20 heading back to Rosbrien). This will bring you onto the Rosbrien Road, which leads to Childer's Road/Punches Cross directly from here (joins Childer's Road at Lidl, continues up to Punches Cross).

I'd say this is probably the quickest option.
