Thanks a million! Just worried they'd charge us 40€ each if we showed up with them in b&w

If like me you've a dodgy printer and it's not clear enough to be scanned at security just go to a Ryanair desk and they'll print you a new one no problem and no charge

Interesting to hear that MM - I've often wondered how strict RA would be in such situations.

So much so that when my own dodgy printer led to faded boarding passes, I decided not to risk them (was able to locate a working printer before going to airport, thankfully!).

OP, definitely no worries about the black and white boarding passes - as long as the barcode and names are legible, you'll be fine.

I read a story once, I think it was hear on boards, of someone being refused travel because their barcode did not scan. B&W is absolutely OK. An illegible print-out is risky.

Sorry for dragging up old thread, but did not think this question warranted a new one.

Does anyone know will ryanair accept your boarding pass as a pdf on an iphone?

Seeing as they tear your Boarding Pass in two at the gate, I seriously doubt it.
