    hi all
maybe a mod could answer this :
if i bought something on boards and it turns out to be not what the seller was selling . ie part missing / broken not working as said etc. etc .etc .
could i demand my money back or is it up to the seller and buyer to come to some sort of agreement . .
    thanks all .

This sort of questions should go here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055861182&page=6

    OR

send a PM directly to a mod(s) with the relevant URL and ask them what the story is

Sales are subject to caveat empor...i.e. Buyer Beware.

In other words it's up to the buyer to ensure everything is in order before completing the sale. However, your first course of action really should be to contact the seller, and see if they are willing to refund or rectify the situation.

I don't think the mods have any power over matters like this, as I believe the rules place it on the buyer to check everything out - not ideal for postage deals, but we live in an imperfect world.

PS: I am not a Mod, and could be completely wrong on this...just said I'd toss that out there

I remember seeing something about this around, may have even been in the charter. First you contact the seller, if ye can't reach an agreement, THEN contact a Mod. They might not be able to do anything but if all else fails just go on the feedback thread and give them a bad review, save other people from the same hasstle.
