-->So far I have the Ark vets and Glenina numbers. Is there any other vets in the city?

-->Been into Petmania where the Eye Cinema is just wondering is there other pet stores about Galway?

-->As for the kickboxing anywhere that does classes either in a community centre or a proper kickboxing venue? Plus any idea of the actual price...

Don't like the type of martial arts where you would be wrestling and half hugging each other half the time, would much rather the type that deals a blow to the face or a kick up the arse :pac:

Glenina are very good and I've heard very good reports about the vets in Briarhill

Although a little bit out of town, I find Barna vet clinic very reasonable and the staff are absolutely lovely

Ha! You were execting some kick ass vet eh :P
Well wanted to make it plain and simple...then forgot to put a 'd' at the end of 'an' ooops :pac:

    Thanks for the info folks.
Well until I get my own car which won't be until next year I'll have to use taxis so the Barna vets shall have to wait awhile before I pay them a visit but cheers! Always like to have a long list of vets handy.

Never done the Taekwondo before so might try and rope in a friend to join me for the first time I go :o

Ok good few pet stores to check out then so! I'll be fit from walking to the all in no time :D

Galway City Gym and Ken Horan for kickboxing, only place. Can vouch for Ark too.

    As for the kickboxing

Jaysus Biko, as a Mod, it would be helpful to point the OP in the ACTUAL direction they were looking for ie Kickboxing NOT TKD:rolleyes:

While Ken is definately an excellent kickboxing coach, his club is NOT the only one. There are a load of clubs along with Ken including Pete Foley's and Dennis Brosnan and even more if you want Thai-boxing (similar to kickboxing but you're taught how to knee and elbow also). Not sure what the fee's in any of the above clubs are but we'ed charge €7 per class or there is a monthly fee of €50.

Have found Ark very good also!

There's a Muay Thai club in Westside, opposite the Topaz.

Highly recommend Briarhill Vet: http://www.briarhillvets.ie/ and as someone already said Barnavet. I have experiences with both vets and they are a+. ARK is very good but VERY expensive, inordinately so. No experience with Glenina so can't comment.

Ahhh now maybe he didn't know of any and just offered me an alternative. It's all good to experience something new so might try a class of it anyway :)

Ahh yeah see I'm use to my awesome vets up here in Donegal and they are soo good to me. Pumped a fair bit of money into them but it's still a HELL of alot cheaper than every other one. No problem spending money on animals but don't wanna be screwed out of money when I don't have to be.

Cheers for the Briarhill mention. I'll be ringing round them all soon and getting a price of each one. Think Briarhill aint too far from me from what I remember of the map anyway.

Barna unfortunately are too far away and be too expensive going in a taxi out there! But they shall stay on my list and can be checked out once I get a car next year.

Aidan Miller in the Ark is brilliant. I think he is in Knocknacarra only now. Most of the vets around seem to charge the same rates as far as I can see, as I think they were all linked at one stage. I do think the vets here charge a very high amount for neutering though which is a shame as more people would have it done if it was more affordable.
