Does anybody know how the driver is who was involved in the Ferrari 458 accident in Belfast last May?

Read a few weeks ago that he was in ICU, but I really don't want to speculate anymore than that out of respect for the man and his family.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

The owner had just picked up his car when he had an aneurysm and crashed. The last I've heard is that he's still in intensive care. Tragic story, hope he recovers.

He must have been three feet tall, otherwise how does he still have a head!

I know the Ferrari is low, but the crash barrier on the truck must have been a bit high or weak or both, I would have expected the front of the car to have been required to soak up more of the impact.

I read something recently which stated that Underrun barriers were not meeting the required standards however some googling did not turn up the article I was looking for.

Heres one from autoexpress/adac however the test is a bit odd considering that they crashed the car into the truck at 56mph, wheras the euro ncap front impact test for cars is just 40mph..

I believe members of the family have asked for photos of the crash to not be shown online as he is still in intensive care and it doesn't look like he will be making a quick recovery.

I'd err on the side of caution and remove it.

I imagine the picture was taken the next morning after the driver had been removed from the car and the scene examined by the crash detectives, its not uncommon for the scene of a serious RTA to be sealed off for 8/9/10 hours plus. The priority of the emergency services generally isn't to get the press photographers in first to get a good photograph for the news
