have a dell inspiron 1525 that keeps blue screening after a few mins (see attached pic).
also seeing intermittent screen problems where the screen wont light up.

i've tried swapping out the ram and disabling the wifi and lan devices. No devices in device manager are showing errors or conflicts. Will a re-install of vista do any good?

Well a fresh install of Vista should help. Just try and keep as little software on your PC and keep it fast by defragging and registry cleans ect. If possible try and back up your pics. Good luck

That won't help if there's a hardware issue though.

windows vista is the biggest load of balls of an o/s ever...

if you are going to re install anything, save yourself some hairs by installing xp pro or windows 7

Thanks all. Thought i had it narrowed down to a faulty wifi card and ram slot but it BSODed again later on.
updated the firmware as well but no luck.
Was holding off on a full OS reinstall incase its hardware related and it BSODs during the reinstall..

Will try that Bluescreenview later and see what turns up.

Thank a million Hal Emmerich! That is a must have app for BSOD errors. All the crashes were from the same WAN tunneling driver. Had it diagnosed an fixed in about 15mins. Although putting on SP2 and all the windows updates though took hours :D

    Thanks again!
