From what I have heard about the Galaxy MP5K is that it's a great gun...for the money. That stipulation is almost always accompanied the praise of the gun. And that was back when the gun was sub €100, usually circa €90-95.

Now I have no idea how that reflects upon the AEG itself, but I know that had always put me off of it...that and the fact that I've never been a big fan of the MP5K...no an MP5A5 w/UMP stock on the other hand; yes :D.

There is also a cyma MP5K on the market which is made of metal rather than plastic like the Galaxy one. I've held both and must say that the cyma has a nice weight off it and feels really solid. Now the galaxy is a good AEG and a very good option when it comes to price but in my opinion the cyma feels that little bit better in your hands.

One thing to note is that the cyma fire selector clicks into place more positively than the galaxy version, which is a bit loose. Sometimes this can be fixed by tightening a screw/bolt.

The cyma is a little bit more than the galaxy version, I wouldn't know an exact price for it here in Ireland for a comparision. An irish retailer might be able to give you a quote to import one.

If you have the extra cash, I think the cyma is the better option. But if you want to buy the galaxy, go for it. A lot of people find it to be a very good AEG, like Inari has pointed out before me, and has a good pricetag.

I'm gonna assume that it's the cheapest AEG you could find and therefore you want it? Don't. If you're on a tight budget, have a look at the adverts thread, you can pick up something good for a lower price, because of possibly a few scratches! :)

If you really like mp5s, I'd still say look for something better. It might cost more but it'll do you better in the future.

Would the GSG 522 be any good.Just asking as its the young lads next on the list gun.:D

Just a translation for those who don't know what the GSG-522 is; ICS MX5 Plastica (NOT the pro), with some different externals:
    - Retractable stock
    - Improved pistol grip
    - Moulded top rail

Bar that, it is your standard ICS MX5 Plastica

The galaxy mp5k is lovely... had one for a while, loved it, but didnt get to use it as much as I'd like. Upgradable? yeah. Don't expect a sniper rifle, its an smg, treat it as such and its great. Range and accuracy are top knotch out of the box, if you want to upgrade it, you can, takes whatever a tm mp5k can....

V3 gearbox due to the stick going in the top of the reciver if I remember correctly.
