I'm in Lucan and it seems to be heading this way, rain started there for a second and stopped again...

Excellent rumbles and flashes in Blanch for the last five minutes, the downpour is easing now. Was a pretty good storm while it lasted!

Not just rain either,- pretty big hailstones by Irish standards. I was watching them break up as they hit the skylights.

raining heavy in Dublin 22 now could be some action

:confused:Lads, there is already a Thunderstorm thread running! Just because it's dublin it doesnt mean you should start a new thread for 1 thundery shower.

Perhaps there should be a Dublin weather forum.

Mods please close this thread, make them use the other one.

    Are you for real?

This thread will die a death as soon as it;s over .. ie. now.

You'd rather have the other thread cluttered with 3 pages of Dublin storm talk? Fair enough

I started the thread because when it kicked off I thought it was going to be a bit of a unique IRISH weather event, nothing to do with it being Dublin, it just happened to be where I was located.

Mods give out to beasterly for thread spoiling!

Hope you managed to sleep after your whole night being fúcked up. Seemed like a pretty traumatic event discovering this thread.

Lads, firstly keep the language down a notch.

There was no real need for a separate thread as there is a summer thunderstorm watch thread running, so in future let's use it for any reports. But no harm done, the thread has run its course and nobody died.

However, the anti-dublin sentiment running throughout some threads here does get a little tiresome at times. Lets talk about weather, and only weather. Any regional or social issues you have, please contact your local TD.

    Thread closed.
