UPC Select Digital+ Pack - VH1 on 706?

Hi

I currently have the Max Pack, but my Sister has the Select Pack with Digital+

For some reason on her box, Channel 706 VH1 doesn't record and comes up as not subsribed to this channel. If you manually press 706 the picture appears, but if your watching MTV (701) and press Channel Up, it skips VH1 and goes to MTV Music (708)

Does these happen to anyone else or is it a fault with the box?

VH1 is on UPC's website http://www.upc.ie/television/digitalselectextraplus/ click on channels

Reset the box or do a channel scan and it should solve this problem.

If it skips straight from 701 to 708 when you press channel up, it's because the box is currently set to 'My Favourites' and 708 is the next higher channel that's flagged as a favourite.

When you press the 'OK' button, look in the bottom right of the popup box, it should say 'All Channels', that's the setting that will apply if you press the blue button, meaning that it's currently set to 'My Favourites'. When it's on the 'My Favourites' setting the channel up and down buttons and the left and right buttons on the remote will only stop on channels that you have set as favourites, this allows you to quickly scroll through your favourite channels to see what's on.

She needs to bring up the popup box by pressing 'OK', then press the blue button so that it displays 'My Favourites', that means it's now set to 'All Channels' and the up and down buttons will stop on every available channel.

Just to summarise, the option displayed is not the option currently selected, it's the option that the box will change to if you press the blue button so if you want 'All Channels' you need to have 'My Favourites' displayed and v.v.

To add and remove channels as favourites, bring up the Guide and go to settings, you'll see the option there. When you change channels, look for the blue dot beside the channel name, that means it's a channel that's marked as a favourite.

If I do a Factory Reset, will the recordings dissapear or just the planner

Your recordings will be fine.

The pin should be 0000 by default.

My settings are as set as "all channels" and i still get the same problem as highlighted by the OP.

Something similar here.
In my case it goes from RTE1 to TG4 and won't go to 102/103 until I key in the channel numbers,after that it works fine.It's like the box has forgotten the two channels are there,until reminded.
And this only happens on one of my HD boxes
