connect upc box to dvd recorder

    hi there,can i connect my upc box to my dvd recorder,there is alot of memory on my dvd recorder so it wud be good for me to record shows onto it

    i did connect it to it but when i power on my my dvd recorder upc then goes off can anyone help,tried tuning upc in but wont work

    If you have 2 or more scart sockets in your dvd recorder, then select a different socket. I have this set-up for the UPC stb. Scart on UPC to Socket 1 on dvd. Scart 2 on dvd to Scart 2 on TV. That way I can use av 1 or av 2 on the dvd recorder to record the upc box. Hope this helps.

    THis was posted here before but, is it a HD box?

    UCP HD boxes are 'crippled' such as that you CANNOT use both HDMI output and SCART output at the same time!!! (i.e. HDMI to TV and SCART to DVD recorder will not work)

    this is not a problem with SKY
