I have a flat roof that has a patch that gathers water. It means there is a little puddle left there when the rest of the roof has dried off. Is there any point in adding an extra layer of felt over this section to level it out?

The roof was originally painted with aluminum paint which is now mostly gone. is it worth repainting it with the same?

If it ain't broke don't fix it.
Check out for crazing / cracking in felt in the area of ponding. If no cracking or seams you would normally be ok
