Road Trip across Northern Spain-Recommendations?!

    Hi,
    Myself and my boyfriend are planning on doing a roadtrip across the North of Spain in August. We are flying in to Santiago de Compostela and out of Bilbao 16 days later.
    Can anyone please give some recommendations of places to go on the way? Outdoorsy activities mostly needed!!

    You should visit the Picos de Europa National Park. I have passed through there and it looks really spectacular.

    Spent a day going from San Sebastian to Bilbao along the coast
    lots of nuice coastal fishing villages and a few beaches

    In Bilbao take the metro down to the Portugalette stop and cross the river on the puente colgante. You can also walk out the pier about a km or so out from the land

    Haven't been west of Bilbao though.
