    Hi there,

my fantastic Sennheiser PMX100 have broken. I earpiece has stopped working. I have had them for 6+ years and use them pretty much every work day.

So I am on the lookout for a replacement. I like Sennheiser so I am looking for recommendations as to good set of headphone (not the ones that you stick IN your ears) for less than €100.

Does anyone have the Sennheiser PX200 II's or the Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones. Or can you recommend a set of Sennheiser I have not mentioned or another brand even.

I listen to Rock Music, classical, as well as Talk radio.

    Cheers,

    Mark S.

The px100 are great value for money headphones. I think you might struggle to find a better sennheiser in terms of sound/value for money for your budget. There are two models of the px200 and the newer px200 ii is a closed headphone so it might be a different sound signature than what you're accustomed to. From reading online the px200ii is meant to be noticeably better than the older model.

It could be that you'd prefer a closed headphone (it'll stop background noise from creeping in and keep your music from leeking out) which would be useful if you used it in a library or office without disturbing those around you.

I'd always recommend that someone thinking of buying any headphone to look here first for a comprehensive review:

Have a good read of that and you might find something that strikes you as what you like and ticks all the boxes for you. Have a close look at the Superlux hd668b, its rated fairly highly for it's price, and Baza210 has bought it so he could relate his thoughts on it. He bought some additional earpads with it as a common complaint is the foam in the earpads is not the best so perhaps factor that into your budget.

Might be worth looking at Grado Sr60i's if your budget allows.
