Suprised to not see a thread about the European Amatuer Championships as far as i know the winner gets a place on the main tour. Martin McCruden, Robert Murphy and Vinnie Muldoon are representing Irealnd. All of them are unbeaten so far but early days. Vinnie has has 3 centuries in his 4 games and hopefully he can produce his form of 2 or 3 years ago if he can i can see him winning it out. Best of the luck to the players.

murphy lost 4-0 to former pro lee walker, can't see him winning it outright. However mccrudden and muldoon have a chance. Mccrudden is good enough for the tour, and muldoon can definitely go far, it was only a couple of years ago when he nearly put jimmy white out of the world qualifiers, losing 10-8. Have to remember he is only 21 and one of the best if not the best break builder in the country

Well Muldoon is in the final later on not certain about the time. Their will be streaming from ribsa website incase anybody is it interested. Would be interesting to see Irelands 3 best talents in years on the main tour together if Vinnie wins.

Their used to be but unless Barry Hearn changed the rules, you get a place for being the best player in your country surely you get a place for being the best in Europe.

hard luck to vinnie, watched a bit of the match on the ribsa website, and thought muldoon gave a good account of himself. if he works hard over the summer and does well in the ptc's there is every chance he could find himself in the tv stages of the major tournaments next year
