Can someone please tell me when is best to go to South America to travel around for about 8 weeks - honeymoon! I know it's a big place and countries will differ weatherwise in different months. I want lots of sun :)

Most sun would be December/January but you'll always find sun somewhere (and Dec/Jan is high season so it'll be expensive). For example Mancora in Peru seems to be sunny all year round, so you'll always find something no matter when you go.

Go to the Independent Travel Forum, lots of info on SA there, and there's a sticky with relevant threads in it.
    Have fun!

Columbia and Venezuela would be lovely during our summer
