A Rich Man is a Free Man....

    Hi,

As the title says... a rich man is a free man !
What do i mean by that...having the financial side sorted, you are free to do,to try things that you weren't able otherwise with a small or none budget at all.

SO...being in business for a short while, thanks to my customers and thanks to my "business model" adopted and stucked with the "respect and be respected" motto,i have reached the day when my outgoings are being paid fully by the incomings, and even more.Basically making a living, not a profit but living of it...

Now,first stage of the business plan reached...how do i go from here !??
I need something to work on...

1.to maintain existing level of service
    2.to improve existing level
3.to give an extra penny in return for same payment
    4.enhance it
5.go the extra mile for my customers

Not sure how to approach this step(s) !
All working ok,why change it ? But,i would 'love' to show to my customers that i am not for a once off shot, but for a longer connection, for a better costwise and supportive relation, kind of a partnership.

I can go in some courses, not start-ups as that is history for me,even if sometime i'm looking back and make sure i am not doing some mistakes, simple enough that can trigger losing the end users...
At the moment i'm doing something like a loop, checking again and again ,ticking all boxes as i am going through them...

    Any advise,highly appreciated.

Congrats on getting past that breakeven point!

Might help if we know what your area of business is. And what the typical business/customer interaction is like.

    Hi,

Congratulations on getting past the hump! Reminded me of a quote 'The most difficult part of business is getting it started. It takes far more effort to secure your first million than your second!'- Richard Desmond, publishing billionaire!

The title of your post implies that keeping this sense of freedom that you've achieved will be really important whatever way you decide to go to get to the next level in your business!

It would be helpful if you could tell us a bit more about your business!

My best advice to you OP, is to stand square in front of the mirror in your bathroom and look at yourself, eye to eye...

Raise your right hand until you can see a clenched fist in the mirror beside your face...

Release/relax the muscles in your right hand and very slowly raise your middle finger and your index finger, until both fingers are erect and you can see yourself giving yourself the V-sign, also known as "the fingers", in the mirror...

Next, count the number of fingers you are holding up, (2)...

Remember that number. Because this is the number of serious mistakes away, that you will ever be, from losing your entire business, down to a bad decision on your part! ;)

That would be funny if it wasn't so very true.

Learning that little lesson gets you honours degree award from the University of Life, also known as the School of Hard Knocks!

A good mate said to me recently, business success is a bit like pregnancy, immediately noticed and congratulated upon, but by Jesus noboby has a clue how many times you had to be fúcked to get there...

I was once told, and have lived through it so I believe it, 'The first seven years are the hardest!'.

I'm currently doing a course at the The University of Gettthefuckbackupandgetoveryourself. It's a tough course. It demands 24/7 attendance if you want to have any hope of passing.
