Drove an 09 one for a bit in work a while ago, all I can really say about them is they're fairly quick. Kind of feels like driving a decent Astra.

Edit: When I say quick I mean for a van obviously

Drove a 08 one in 08 and was very surprised with the power and it had a load in it. They are very scarce though in comparison to the berlingo. I had a 1990 one years ago it was a 1.6D, it was as slow as Christmas..:)

    thanks guys.
went for a test drive today-it felt really nice to drive and it was a lot quicker than a transit connect with similiar BHP.is it a similiar engine to the astra?

Some of them are suffering chain/tensioner issues.

They are not a bad driver, front end is the same as a corsa. The engine is the fiat/alfa multijet rebranded.

They're a decent van, I've never experienced any major problems with them.

They're the cheapest of the lot too.

We have doblos and a 1.7 combo. The doblos are brilliant, overall. The combo is painful to drive any distance, IMO and it ground to a halt yesterday and we don't know yet if it's the ECU or just the crank position sensor.

As ND says chain guide problems, the plastic part of the guide usually comes away from the backing, also egr sticking faults

Borrowed a 05 ex Royal Mail Combo for a month there around Christmas when I was carless. Good pick up on it for such a small capacity engine. The one I had was a little battered and had a coolant leak somewhere that could not be easily traced. Had to constantly top up the coolant on her but during the really cold spell it still started every morning without fail. I'm told by it's owner that it's still going strong.
