I have a NI Number (National Insurance Number. UK and NI equivalent of PRSI number) from when I lived in England. Does the same one stay with you for life? I have not used mine in about 12 years, but a application form for a job in Northern Ireland is asking for it. Am I as well to fill it in or leave it blank?

As far as i know it's with you for life.. Any payment made will be eligible for state pension in the UK so its needs to continue to exist. My PPS number from the 80's was active when I returned back home in '07.

I would put in on the form, if only to prove you are eligible to work in the EU. :)
