    Hi,

    So I fianlly got a working silvia and have been playing around with it for a few days.

    The shots have been quite good but I have a few questions for the very knowledgeable people that frequent this forum.

    Firstly the grind, how fine should I grind the beans?

    Here I'm assuming that I grind as fine as the machine will allow without choking?

    Second how much ground coffee should go into the basket? I've read that this should be 7g for a single and 14g for a double, is this correct?

    Next is leveling and tamping, how much pressure to tamp, any advice here would be greatly appreciated.

    Finally I've read that the espresso should take from 23-18 seconds to extract, is this correct also?

    Are there any other tips or pitfalls I need to avoid??
