Hey guys i want to book a holiday with thomas cook, but their website says that i must be a resident in UK/Northern Ireland to book , now i can supply my aunts address. My question is :is this just for reasons to send the tickets or can there be any other implications I might face ?

Hi I think that thomas cook dont actually accept irish credit/debit cards, and that is why they say you must be a uk resident, this was something I read on a holiday forum last year. I have booked 2yrs ago with thompsons who to the best of my knowledge are a sister group of thompsons, they have similar holidays maybe you could check out their website. Tbh If you book with a uk cerdit/debit card and give you aunts address I cant think of any problems that may occur.

We have booked two ski holidays over the last number of years with Crystal ski UK, all you have to do is to ring their booking line, tell them you are Irish resident and they will do the booking for you, make sure they still give you the Internet booking discount. When we asked why we couldnt book online, they said it was to do with Ireland not having postal codes & due to the currency difference.

also, just to note, that when we booked with Crystal Ski UK late last year, they will only accept Irish Credit Cards, not debit cards.
