iPhone reset?

    About an hour ago something weird happened my iphone 4. I got a new email, went to open it and mail seemed to freeze, clicked the home button and went to the home screen, I then immediately got a call and within a few seconds of answering it it went dead. Looked down at the screen and the apple logo was up, waited for it to turn on again and came back on as normal. But it seems to have reset some of my settings like displaying the battery percentage and my ringtone. :confused:

    Im not too bothered by it because nothing has been deleted or lost, Im just a bit puzzled as to why it would restart itself and then reset some of my settings. The battery is fine (>75%) and I wasn't pressing any buttons when it turned itself off. Just wondering has anyone else experienced this? :confused:
