I'm sorry, english isn't my native language...
I meant that IMO the "mission" of that Agency is interesting, I've understand they do some covert operations to gathering intelligence against environmental outlaws

Are they a not-for-profit or government agency?

Wow, I was going to compare it to our EPA but if it's an NGO it's quite different.

Some on-the-ground NGOs will try to get evidence of abuse/destruction/pollution but it generally requires a lot of resources, in terms of money, people and equipment.

In Italy we have "Corpo Forestale dello Stato" wich is a law enforcement agency, with both guards and detectives. What is EPA? is it a government agency?

EPA stands for Environmental Protection Agency. It's Ireland's statutory body responsible for monitoring, licensing and enforcement in relation to environmental laws. They would also manage a significant amount of research funding.

The Corpo Forestale - does it deal with all environmental issues, or just forestry?

The Corpo Forestale deals about wildlife protection, CITES, environmental protection, forests, national parks, illegal trades of illicit and toxic waste, safety of agricultural products, forest fires, and so on.
